I find there is one particular receptionist who is always very rude on the phone, so much so that I am uncomfortable ringing for appointments. I will be switching to a new doctors in the new year.
Terrible experience. New to practise and area. I required repeat prescription as had 7 days medication left. Was told no nurse or doctor appointment for at least 10 days and to go to local chemist for BP to be awarded prescription. Went to chemist who said GPs say this but chemist don't always have facilities as too busy so they could not do my BP after all. Re rang lakeside surgery and was told nurse appointment available next day at different practise. Why didn't they offer this initially? I know they are under pressure (as I am as a social worker with adults) but the attitude of the receptionist today was rude - I have been given the runaround. I will be changing my doctors.
It seems the admin and management don't communicate with each other properly and this in turn creates problems. Your website desperately needs updating as it says the incorrect times on there so good luck just dropping in. I had an experience where I had to pick up a prescription and was told to get it at the Grappenhal practice (this was me calling the lymm practice) it turns out the Grappenhall practice had no idea and it was in fact at the Lymm practice that had my prescription. Prior to all this I was put on a wild goose chase with the same prescription but the details are a little fuzzy. All in all not very good until they step it up.
Consistently poor service; not too bothered about their closing times either apparently as when the weather is good they do an early doors.. or so it would appear from catching this last summer.
Have always managed to get appointment when I wanted in advance- love the online booking service.
