Great pub , good choice of food and drink and fair priced ! Very comfortable environment where you can chill in a pub or eat at a table ! Always visit here when I go to Lymm and often eat here also !
I had the festive pie, which was overcooked, hard to cut into and the contents quite dry, veg far too undercooked for my taste. Quickly changed when I complained. Though there were no complaints from other people I was with, the general consensus was it was far from being home cooked.
Just got back from a family meal here for a party of 15. Ok I did enjoy my food, I cant complain about that but Im less than impressed with the service received. Meals were brought out very much separately with a wait of 10 minutes at least for the next persons meal which was a bit awkward. There was some mix up over orders but was soon sorted although if Im honest we did feel some staff were a bit put out. It felt like staff were too stressed out.I would say that this pub is not geared up for big parties, Im sure a 4/5 person family meal would be lovely though.
I took my daughter here for food and we were very impressed with the quality and presentation.. prices are fantastic and staff were lovely.. will definately be visiting again very soon !
